Nelson Mandela South Africa is probably also known to many people because of its Nobel prize winners, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu and not in the least because of its turbulent past (and to a certain extent, present). From Joburg, for example, it is only some kilometres to Soweto, which was mainly maintained because of discrimination laws and was the scene of a lot of needless shedding of blood.
